ความโดดเด่นของโครงการ WHA ESIE 5 ทั้งในด้านทำเลที่ตั้งยุทธศาสตร์ โครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่ครบวงจร และแนวคิดการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน สามารถดึงดูดบริษัทชั้นนำจากหลากหลายอุตสาหกรรมมากมาย โดยล่าสุด ไฮเออร์ สมาร์ทโฮม (Haier Smart Home) ผู้ผลิตเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าและโซลูชันสมาร์ทโฮมระดับโลก ได้เลือก WHA ESIE 5 เป็นที่ตั้งของ “ฐานการผลิตเครื่องปรับอากาศอัจฉริยะ (AI Intelligent Manufacturing Base)” แห่งที่ 3 ในประเทศไทย ซึ่งถือเป็นโรงงาน AI Intelligent Factory สำหรับการผลิตเครื่องปรับอากาศส่วนกลางแห่งแรกของโลก และใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ สะท้อนความเชื่อมั่นในโครงสร้างพื้นฐานระดับโลกของ WHA และศักยภาพเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ของเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (EEC) ในการขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่ยุค Data Center และ AI Economy
นายปจงวิช พงษ์ศิวาภัย ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท ดับบลิวเอชเอ อินดัสเตรียล ดีเวลลอปเมนท์ จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า “ไฮเออร์ คือพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจที่สำคัญที่ให้ความไว้วางใจ WHAID มาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยก่อนหน้านี้ได้เปิดโรงงานผลิตเครื่องปรับอากาศที่ใช้ภายในบ้าน บนพื้นที่ 200 ไร่ ใน นิคมอุตสาหกรรมดับบลิวเอชเอ อีสเทิร์นซีบอร์ด 3 (WHA ESIE 3) จังหวัดชลบุรี ซึ่งเริ่มเดินสายการผลิตไปเมื่อปี 2568 ที่ผ่านมา การที่ไฮเออร์เลือกขยายการลงทุนที่ WHA ESIE 5 เพื่อสร้างฐานการผลิตเครื่องปรับอากาศ AI อัจฉริยะที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในอาเซียน สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความไว้วางใจที่มีต่อ WHAID และความพร้อมของนิคมฯ ของเราทั้งในด้านทำเลยุทธศาสตร์ โครงสร้างพื้นฐานล้ำสมัย ระบบนิเวศที่ยั่งยืน เป็นศูนย์กลางการผลิตที่รองรับอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคตได้ในทุกมิติอย่างครบวงจร”
ฐานการผลิตแห่งใหม่ของไฮเออร์ ที่ WHA ESIE 5 ได้ทำพิธีวางศิลาฤกษ์ไปเมื่อวันที่ 12 พฤษภาคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา และคาดว่าจะก่อสร้างแล้วเสร็จพร้อมดำเนินการในเดือนมิถุนายน 2570 ซึ่งโรงงานแห่งนี้จะใช้ระบบอัตโนมัติที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วย AI มากกว่า 65% พร้อมศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนา (R&D Center) ที่มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาโซลูชัน HVAC สำหรับสภาพภูมิอากาศเขตร้อนโดยเฉพาะ เพื่อรองรับความต้องการที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็วในภูมิภาค ทั้งจากภาคเมือง อสังหาริมทรัพย์ โรงแรม นิคมอุตสาหกรรม และโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน โดยมีเป้าหมายในการส่งออกไปทั่วภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ยุโรป และอเมริกาเหนือ
การขยายการลงทุนของไฮเออร์ครั้งนี้ ตอกย้ำศักยภาพของ WHAID ในการเป็นฐานการผลิตสำคัญสำหรับอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคตและกลุ่ม New S-Curve ด้วยความพร้อมด้านโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน เทคโนโลยีและระบบนิเวศอุตสาหกรรมที่พัฒนาอย่างครบวงจรและยั่งยืน โดยมีจุดแข็งสำคัญดังนี้

Conceptualized as a "Smart Eco Industrial Estate," WHA ESIE 5 exhibits sustained progress—with Phase 1 now over 80% complete and Phase 2 actively advancing to accommodate growing investment demand. This pioneering facility will be the world's first AI intelligent agent factory dedicated to central air conditioning manufacturing and the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. The investment reflects Haier's confidence in WHA's world-class infrastructure and the strategic potential of Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) to drive the nation's progress in the Data Center and AI Economy.

The groundbreaking ceremony for Haier's new production base at WHA ESIE 5 took place on May 12, 2026. Construction is slated for completion, and operations are expected to commence in June 2027. This state-of-the-art factory will incorporate over 65% AI-driven automation, and a dedicated Research & Development (R&D) Center focus specifically on developing customized HVAC solutions tailored for tropical climates. These offerings will address the rapidly increasing demand from urban development, real estate, hospitality, industrial estates, and infrastructure sectors across the region. The facility aims to export its products throughout Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.
